It is only with the heart

that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

                                            What IS Contemplative Art?

  •  TRUST

Contemplative Art is about trusting and respecting your own magical and unique self; what works for you will not necessarily work for another...When you begin to work with your creative process, it is important that you respect your  own unique ways of expression.

  • REFLECTION

Contemplative Art is about slowing down.  This is one of the biggest challenges we face today!  When we slow down we see things freshly, and we allow for time so that the materials can respond-- each artistic medium,  be it oil, watercolor, clay, or mixed-media… will speak to us and create a different response or feeling.

  • BEGINNER'S MIND

Contemplative Art is about seeing things freshly…as if from a child's eye view...being surprised and embracing the unknown

  • NON-ATTACHMENT

Contemplative  Art is about Letting go of that critical voice in our heads that tell us we "can't" or we "aren't"....and allow us to keep open-- relax and not worrying about the result or outcome.

  • LOVING-KINDNESS

Contemplative Art encourages us to nurture ourselves.  Taking care of ourselves is the first step in healing. And, the good news is, we already have everything we need at our disposal. No experience is necessary!

Now is the time to Awaken your heart with joy!

                                                 We are ALL Contemplative Artists!
